Digital Production Supervisor

Job Title: Digital Production Supervisor

Summary Directs and coordinates activities of production department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinate production, distribution and warehousing.
Interviewing, selecting, and training employees.
Setting rates of pay for new hires, and requesting raises for staff.
Maintain production documents and records.
Perform employee performance evaluations.
Ensure due dates and productivity goals are met.
Make certain all quality standards are followed.
Establish priorities and modify the work production schedule and machine lineup in accordance with customer requirements
Develop and institute plans for efficient use of materials, machines and personnel.
Analyze direct labor costing reports to help verify company’s estimating objectives are met.
Review and improve production costs and product quality; modify production and inventory control programs for a profitable plant operation.
Reject poor materials.
Confer with and act as a liaison between management, other departments, and outside vendors to ensure materials are on hand when needed and orders are completed accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with all company policy and any applicable state, federal, or locals laws and regulations. 
Ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times and rectify or ensure the rectification of any unsafe conditions.
Responsible for organizing and developing production crew.
Manage all aspects of the temporary workforce, which includes, but is not limited to, identifying temporary worker needs, placing orders with the temporary agency, establishing hours, and directing work for temporary employees.
Maintain and prioritize production schedule on a daily basis in accordance with customer requirements.
Work directly with other departments to ensure all production needs are met on time and complete.
Analyze, create, and modify reports for management.
Continually look for cost savings or ways to simplify production processes.
Review and analyze any capital expenditures that may be required to streamline or increase production output.
Develop workforce in accordance with succession planning guidelines established by management. 
Cross-train all personnel to ensure complete coverage when absences occur.
Coordinate meetings with design, customer service, sales, in regards to product development.
Tracking of production numbers to ensure production goals are being met.
Work with Shipping Department to make sure product is shipping out on time and complete.
Continually look for ways to improve line efficiency.
Assist in the training of the production crew.
Record production time for each job accurately.
Responsible for delivering any raw materials (i.e. any project that will require a cutting die) to design, in which a file will be created and sent to the Die Shop.
Adherence to company policies, including its attendance is essential.
Supervisory Responsibilities                                                    
Directly manage 5 or more subordinate supervisors/leads and indirectly supervise up to 25 hourly employees /temps in the production, fulfillment and distribution of finished goods. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.

Education and/or Experience                                                   
Bachelor’s Degree (B. A./B.S.) or equivalent; or seven to ten years related experience and training.
Language Skills                                                
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills                                                     
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability                                             
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills                                               
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet Explorer Internet software; Amtech, RPM, and PDE Manufacturing software; GHG Time System Software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Word Processing software.

The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
