Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking self-motivated individuals for Maintenance Tech A (1st shift) and Maintenance Tech B (2nd shift) opportunities. If you have experience In the Printing/Paper industry and with Corrugated machine maintenance, keep reading!

You will be responsible for repairing and maintaining production machinery, conveyor lines, mechanical and hydraulic components, material handling system and automated lubrication systems. You must be the hands-on kind of person who doesn’t mind getting in and getting dirty.

All applicants must have good knowledge and previous work experience with the following: Hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, lubrication, gear trains, fabrication and welding. Electrical experience including knowledge of 3-phase electrical, motor control center, pump, motors, compressors, variable frequency drives, wiring and PLC troubleshooting.

  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints
  • Will support other staff in day-to-day operations
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Sense of urgency to machinery down time due to the manufacturing nature
  • Ability to work independently and take charge when needed
  • Must be able to work weekends, overtime, and alternating shifts

Minimum Requirements:

EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED

Trade School

EXPERIENCE

Maintenance Tech A: 5 – 7 years’ Experience (Required)

Maintenance Tech B: 2 – 3 years’ Experience (Required)

CMMS – Computerized Maintenance Management System experience or familiarity a plus

Technical certificate from a credited program is a plus

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Will deal with problems involving one or more concrete variable in standardized situations. Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, functional operations – isolate root cause for breakdown.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Able to stand for long periods, reach and stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds by team lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
