Boxes of St. Louis, Inc. is looking for an experienced Receiving Clerk (Monday through Friday, Day Shift, with occasional weekend work required) 

Job Title:  Shipping Receiving Clerk
Department:  Shipping
Reports To:  Shipping Manager & Production Manager
FLSA Status:  Hourly
The Receiving Clerk verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, as well as, prepares items for shipment while completing daily responsibilities.
Daily Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
  • Manage the process flow of incoming materials and production tickets
  • Receive products and compare with the Bills of Lading to ensure accuracy
  • Complete factory ticket incoming board information
  • Participate in the weekly production scheduling meeting to ensure incoming materials are pre-arranged and scheduled appropriately
  • Prioritize & escalate material issues as they arise - Troubleshoot and /or escalate computer issues to IT
  • Ensure all incoming materials are scanned or manually entered into the computer system
  • Complete duties as assigned by Management
  • Adhere to company policies, timeliness and dependability are imperative

Education and/or Experience                                                
Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  A background in logistics and transportation is not required, but is highly beneficial. 
Computer Skills                                             
An individual should have knowledge of:  UPS, FedEx, and additional shipping software, experience with Amtech Manufacturing Software, and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with basic knowledge of the web.
Language Skills                                             
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills                                                   
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability                                                      
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
