Summary Under the general direction of  the Quality - Process Improvement Manager, the Quality Assurance Specialist  assures consistent deployment of established quality systems, drive improvements in customer relationships, monitor quality indices to assure they meet company / Customer expectations, implementation of sustainable corrective actions, contribute to the financial well-being of the facility / company.  
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 
Provides guidance for quality related  issues and consults with management to resolve complex quality issues in a timely manner for all Customers
 
Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of finished goods or components.
 
Performs reviews of documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
 
Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
 
Assists Management with Non-Conformance/Corrective Action Program and Supplier Corrective Action Program.
 
Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
 
Ensure proper disposition , identification of cause and implementation of corrective action for nonconforming incoming materials
 
Compiles, analyzes, and reports on various quality-related data and trends.
 
Monitors and tracks the status of all reports and maintains the report log and correlative data and reports.
 
Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
 
Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
 
Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
 
Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
 
Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
 
Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
 
Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
Assist management with Quality Training
 
Adherence to company policies, including its attendance is essential.

Education and/or Experience                                                
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Salary  $40,000 - $50,000
Career Level Required Experienced (Non-Manager)
Experience Required 2+ to 5 Years
Education Required High School or equivalent, Bachelor's preferred
